Why Greece and the British Virgin Islands Have My Heart

Of all the incredible destinations I’ve explored, two stand out as my absolute favorites: Greece and the British Virgin Islands (BVI). They couldn’t be more different in vibe, yet both give me that soul-filling sense of wonder every single time.

In Greece, there’s something magical about sailing into a port and being greeted by layers of whitewashed houses climbing up the hills, tavernas spilling out onto the waterfront, and the history whispering from every stone. Each island feels like its own little world—Santorini with its sunsets, Mykonos with its energy, and hidden gems like Milos with coves that take your breath away. I love how yacht charters in Greece let you balance the best of both worlds: ancient culture and pure, laid-back island bliss.

Then there’s the British Virgin Islands—my first love. The BVIs feel like home on the water. Crystal-clear turquoise seas, sandy beach bars where you can literally dinghy up for a drink, and dive sites that still give me goosebumps (the Wreck of the Rhone will forever have my heart).
